The author of chapbooks Fatherland, Motherland and …and this would be Moshiach, Leo Rose Rodriguez is a queer, autistic Jewish writer and artist. They are based in Minneapolis, on traditional Dakota land.
Leo has been creating stories since before they learned to write. They received a BFA in Theatre with a minor in English from Viterbo University, and currently work in the theatre industry as a wardrobe technician. They are the illustrator for TIGERRS’ Intersex Education pamphlet series. Leo’s work has been represented at Quatrefoil Library, the Minneapolis Center For Book Arts and at Viterbo University. A full list of publications can be found here. Their first play, The Martyr, debuted at SheDFW Arts Festival in Dallas, in September of 2024.
When not writing or making art, they can be found reading history and listening to punk rock. Leo has a tendency to fall in love with every cat they meet.
